PUBLIC NOTICE OF UPCOMING ACCREDITATION REVIEW VISIT BY THE ACEN
Western Technical College wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for initial accreditation of its Bachelor of Science nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled from 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Room #309 at Western Technical College’s Diana Campus located at 9451 Diana Drive, El Paso, Texas 79924.
Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted to the ACEN via email at publiccomments@acenursing.org or to the ACEN office:

Clinicals
As you enjoy small class sizes and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, you will also practice what you’ve learned. Our nursing program includes clinical rotations in local hospitals to give you valuable, Real World experiences. A faculty member will supervise you and provide feedback while you demonstrate your ability to solve problems and think critically while practicing patient care.

Licensure Exam:
Upon graduation, students are prepared to challenge the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination-RN) exam as required by the State of Texas to practice nursing.
